Nearly half of graduates regret going to university

We were tasked by Barclays to come up with a broadcast campaign for their apprenticeships scheme. Our idea was to carry out a piece of research on current university students and recent graduates to find out how many people regret going to university or felt pressure from their parents to go. The results produced a strong headline, in that nearly half of people regretted going to university and two thirds felt under pressure from parents to go to university.

We used former university students as spokespeople for the campaign who would be able to add credibility to the campaign through their own personal experiences during the broadcast interviews.

Coverage highlights included interviews with our case studies and the Head of Apprenticeships at Barclays on BBC Newsnight, the Victoria Derbyshire programme, BBC Radio 4's You and Yours programme, Sky News Radio, as well as regional BBC and commercial radio stations. Total potential reach was over 46,600,000.
